The High-Stress Abrasion Tester is designed to assess wear performance under severe abrasive loading, using a steel wheel that produces significantly higher contact stresses compared to rubber-wheel setups. During testing, the specimen is pressed against the rotating steel wheel while abrasive particles are fed into the contact zone, recreating extreme wear conditions seen in mining, mineral handling, steel processing, and heavy-duty engineering components.
