Dr. Srinivasan Anandan is a highly accomplished Senior Scientist at ARCI, Hyderabad, specializing in Li/Na-ion Battery Materials for EVs, Supercapacitor/Superbattery devices, and Self-cleaning Technologies. For over twelve years, his research has significantly impacted the Indian energy and environmental sectors, driving self-reliance through the development and commercialization of indigenous battery-grade LFP cathode and LTO anode materials. This technology was successfully transferred to industries like M/s. ALTMIN and M/s. Allox Minerals Pvt Ltd. His current R&D focuses on high-voltage Li-ion materials (LMFP, LNMO, Si-C) and Na-ion materials (NVP, hard carbon). He also facilitated the technology transfer of Self-cleaning Technology to M/s. Resil Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. His current work involves the development of high-voltage cathode materials (LMFP, LNMO) and high-capacity Si-C anode materials for Li-ion batteries, alongside cathode (NVP) and anode (hard carbon) materials for Na-ion batteries.

Beyond research, Dr. Anandan has secured and executed numerous DST and industrial projects (HPCL, DRDO). He was pivotal in establishing state-of-the-art facilities at ARCI, including a Semi-pilot plant for supercapacitors, a dry room for cell fabrication, a high-energy milling unit, and an electrochemical characterization lab.

His academic contribution is substantial, featuring 76 papers, 27 patents, an h-index of 35, and over 5200 citations. He has mentored over 50 students and delivered over 70 talks. Dr. Anandan's excellence is globally recognized, evidenced by his ranking among the top 2% of researchers worldwide by Stanford University (2020 & 2022), the JSPS Fellowship, the Young Scientist Award-2008, and the prestigious ECSI Amara Raja National Award-2024. He is an Associate Fellow of the Telangana Academy of Sciences and serves as a Research Advisory Board Member at MLR Institute of Technology and a member of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in Electro technology in Mobility Sectional Committee (ETD 51) for EV standardization. He was recently nominated for the LEADS April-2024 Programme organized by INSA and the National Centre for Good Governance.
