P Suresh Babu:
Working as a research scientist at centre for engineered coatings, ARCI, Hyderabad. Graduated from NIT-Warangal (formerly known as REC-W) in Metallurgical Engineering. Obtained M.Tech and Ph.D. from Department of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, IIT- Kanpur. I have been working on design and development of detonation spray system with PLC controllers and higher firing frequencies. Involved in the research areas of development of wear and corrosion resistant coatings by detonation spray technique (DSC), high velocity air-fuel (HVAF) spray systems, microstructure-property-performance evaluation of thermal sprayed coatings, evolution of properties of bulk as well as coatings at various length scales using macro, micro and nanoindentation techniques. Creep studies on in-house synthesised ODS steels and aluminides.
