Tribocorrosion

Suitable for tribocorrosion of metals, biomaterials. Peak applied load: 200 N, Flexibility to apply different force, motions, environment, surface inspection during corrosion wear tests. The system come with programmable force application to apply constant, ramped or stepped force profiles. It has capabilities for Z travel up to 100 mm (5-micrometer resolution) speed up to 10 mm/s. The system has capabilities to incorporate or upgrade surface inspection tools on same platform. Force probe capability: measurements in X, Y, Z axis with acquisition rate of 1 kHz up to 200 N with noise less than 60 mN. The force probe has high lateral stiffness and vertically compliant. Provision for upgradations to higher force ranges. The software measure and record friction force, friction coefficient data during corrosion tests continuously until the end of tests. It comes with removable rotary stage with axis of rotation coaxial to Z axis force probe. Rotary stage has capabilities up to 1000 rpm. It is corrosion resistant to corrosive media such as HCl, KOH, NaCl, H2SO4 etc. It has programmable lateral drive with speed up to 10 mm/sec and travel distance of 50 mm with resolution of 5 micrometers. The corrosion test assembly set up is integral part of system with insulating holder, electrode connections, corrosion resistant chamber for corrosion wear testing in HCl, NaOH, H2SO4 and NaCl type aqueous electrolyte. The electrochemical workstation has potentiostat, galvanostate, impedance analyser, corrosion test software for open circuit potential, corrosion rate (such as Tafel analysis Rp Fit), corrosion current, corrosion potential and impedance calculations, connection cables etc.
