D. PRABHU
Dr. Prabhu is an expert in the field of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials with over 20 years of experience. His research is dedicated to the design, processing, and characterization of high-performance magnetic materials. He possesses extensive expertise across a broad spectrum of materials, including nanocrystalline soft magnetics, soft and hard ferrites, and rare-earth permanent magnets for applications ranging from high-frequency electronics to traction motors. Dr. Prabhu actively collaborates with industry partners to develop tailored magnetic solutions and resolve complex technical challenges.
His current research interest is in production and microstructural characterization of ultra-high coercive hard magnetic materials for industrial application. Preparation of high coercive sintered Dy free Nd-Fe-B magnets adopting grain boundary diffusion. Synthesis and microstructural characterization of Fe-P for motors in automotive applications. Establishing of pilot plant utilizing novel process technology for manufacture of near net shaped Nd-Fe-B magnets. A industrial collaborative project for the development of anisotropic ferrite powders for bonded magnet applications.
